Nate's Smokehouse White BBQ Sauce
Share
This tangy, somewhat sweet sauce is my take on the classic Alabama White BBQ Sauce, made famous by Big Bob Gibson from Decatur, AL when he started offering it on pork and chicken.
Ingredients:
1 cup mayonnaise (preferably Duke's)
⅓ cup apple cider vinegar
3 tsp water
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp salt
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp cayenne pepper sauce (Frank's, Texas Pete, etc.)
1 TBSP brown sugar
1 TBSP Sweet Amber Fire
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. (You can whisk it by hand, but I like to use a hand mixer or even a food processor to get everything fully mixed up.)
This sauce is a little bit tangy, a little bit sweet, and has just a hint of a kick. It's great on pork, chicken, and fish, but I've been known to put it on my rice, veggies, and just about everything else. If you make some, let me know what you put it on.
