Let me start off by saying that I'm a professional chef and caterer that's been in the business for over 20 years. I'm always looking for new products and ideas. Nate has definitely upped the spice blend game! His Sweet Amber Fire is crazy good. I used it on a sugar plum candied pork belly that I make as an appetizer and it was amazing! I've also used it with bacon as well and it's equally as good. His Sweet and Spicy is a great all-purpose seasoning that is extra awesome on pork ribs. It's flavor profile has just enough heat and sweet to set it aside from other general barbecue blends. I'm looking forward to what he comes up with next. I highly recommend Nate's Smokehouse BBQ Blends!

I utilized the Sweet Amber Fire on some salmon filets I prepared this weekend while at the beach and the seasoning went beautifully with the fish.  Honestly, it was absolutely fantastic.  I used the Lone Star Smoke with some short ribs I braised this weekend as well.  I seasoned the short ribs with your blend and allowed them to sit overnight in the refrigerator so that the beef could absorb as much of the spice as possible.  The end result was fantastic.

The two things I smoke the most are pork shoulders and wings. I used your sweet honey on both. By far the best tasting bark on any pork I’ve ever done. I generally like my wings to be very spicy and I thought I would need to add spice to the wings after smoking them with the sweet honey rub. After tasting them I knew that no spice was needed. They were the most flavorful wings I’ve ever done and the sweet honey is my preferred wing now. I also used the Lone Star Smoke on a brisket. As a born and bred Texan who has been to most of the big name Texas bbq joints, you’d never know his rub was from North Carolina. I used the Sweet Amber Fire rub on a rack of ribs and even my very picky daughter loved it. Three for three on the rubs and I’ve still got a couple I’m looking forward to using.

I used the Sweet Amber Fire to smoke some pork belly for tacos! It had a great balance between sweet, salty, and spicy. Everyone at our party loved it as well. You definitely have a solid product!

As a colleague who has been lucky enough to enjoy the processes involved in perfecting these rubs, I am happy to report that each flavor offers a distinct and savory enhancement to each smoked meat or vegetable I have tasted. Get your taste buds ready for fantastic flavors as each rub elevates your meals to new heights. I can’t wait for new innovative combinations to be realized. Thanks to Nate for sharing his original and creative gifts with us all!!
