Smoked Crab Legs with Sweet Amber Fire
Share
Boiling crab legs with Old Bay is a staple in Maryland and the Northeast. But this is the South, so this is my take crab legs with a smoker and my Sweet Amber Fire spice blend. This is definitely one of the tastiest recipes I have made to date!
Ingredients:
Several clusters of crab legs - I used snow crab legs, but king crab work just as well. They'll just take longer in the smoker.
1 stick of butter
2 TBS of Sweet Amber Fire
Directions:
- Melt the butter - You can use a small cast iron skillet like I did, or you can simply melt it in a bowl.
- Whisk in the Sweet Amber Fire.
- Brush onto your crab legs and place them onto the smoker at 225°.
- Smoke for about 30 minutes for snow crab legs, about 60 minutes for king crab. Be sure to brush with the melted butter every 5-10 minutes. (This is why I used the cast iron, so I could keep it in the smoker with the crab legs.
- Remove from the smoker and enjoy!
